Did you know cheetahs are the "fastest mammal on land..." according to National Geographic Kids. "...The cheetah can reach speeds of 60 or perhaps even 70 miles (97 or 113 kilometers) an hour over short distances."

My next goal is to save up money to add a cheetah face to my memoral garden of a tattoo. Not only is my memorial garden tattoo symbolic to me in many ways, the cheetah is too. Why?? Let me tell you.
Counseling & Perspective
I've been in counseling a handful of times throughout my journey called life and each different version of me needed it. One thing has stuck with me years from when my counselor told me this. As I was struggling with a romantic relationship, and whether or not it was really something that was adding to my life or not, my counselor enlightened me with a new perspective. He asked me, "Do you know why most zoos don't have cheetahs?" As I pondered for a moment, I shrugged and said, "I don't." He continued to explain how studies have shown that cheetahs become debilitated when in a zoo environment simply because they're fed and don't get to run and hunt. Cheetahs are meant for this, built for it. So they tend to get depressed and it's a snowball effect in several ways.
What's the point in that? How do you call that counseling? Well, my dear friends, are you running after your life, or is it running you? Are you doing the things that you were made to do? To get this cheetah on my skin as a symbolic reminder of 1) you were built for this 2) you are strong 3) do not let "this" (whatever the current obstacle is) get you down - stay alert, hunt, fight, run!
I have found myself applying this in ways I never thought I would. Parenting, career and work environments, friendships, relationships, goals, motivation and inspiration. Hopefully this little tidbit can spark your fire and resonate with you. If not, it's ok. Moral of the story is figh on fighter!
